You can also map Morse symbols to note patterns in a specific key and scale for creative musical composition.
Morse Code Basics
- Dot (.): Represented by a short note/beep (1 unit of time).
- Dash (-): Represented by a long note/beep (3 units of time).
- Spaces: Letters are separated by spaces, and words are separated by a slash (
/).
Musical Arpeggiator
Instead of a single note, you can map Morse symbols to arpeggiated note sequences:
- Pattern: Controls how note pitches transition (Up, Down, Up/Down, Random).
- Key & Scale: Set the root key and musical mode (e.g. Major, Minor Pentatonic, Dorian).
- Arp Octaves: Transpose the pattern across multiple octaves.
Rhythm & Timing Settings
Adjust note values and pauses to customize your generated sound or MIDI file:
Dot/Dash Duration: Controls the note length for dots and dashes.
Symbol Pause: Rest period between dots/dashes of the same letter.
Char/Word Pause: Rest periods separating letters and words (triggered by / or space).
